I have a new opportunity for a number of high level ASP-NET C# MVC developers to work for a top media company in West London- I am looking for experienced web developers to work for a household name in a cutting edge environment-

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the technical operations team in the role of Senior Web Developer- Reporting directly to the CTO, the likely candidate will be passionate about -NET development and enjoy working within an agile team environment, passion to drive and motivate by example, have a proven ability to learn new skills and work on short sprints to meet tight deadlines-

Responsibilities

- Work within an agile development team-

- Develop websites, applications and rich multi-media experiences according to the brief and technical specifications- Work closely with UI developers to integrate the UI according to departmental standards and processes-

- Ensure all developments are fully documented, meet high level design requirements e-g- data, customer experience, architecture, security, quality and operations, as well as regulatory and industry standards so projects are fit for purpose leaving testing and transitioning to live-

- Ensure all new developments go through an appropriate testing process and work with QA to create test plans

- Accurately report on development progress and issues within scrums, identifying remedial action when required to address problems and keep development on track-

- Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and share information, ideas and best practice with other design team members and divisions to improve skills and avoid single points of failure

- Create and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the delivery team and the wider technology organisation so that the overall function operates professionally and is seen as delivery focused- Engage professionally with customers when required-

- Provide input into platform design, offering advice and thoughts and providing feedback

Knowledge

Candidates will be required to command good communication skills, work well within a team structure, have a proven ability to learn new skills and have experience working with agile processes-

You will have excellent skills in ASP-net(C#), SQL, HTML, JavaScript along with experience in working in an AGILE process (SCRUM/XP)-

Essential skill requirements for this role include:

- C#

- ASP-net (3-5/4)

- Visual Studio 2008/2010

- SQL (SQL Server 2008)

- HTML/HTML5/DHTML/XHTML

- Javascript

- CSS

- OOP

- XML, XSD, XSLT

- AJAX

- Web services

- AGILE

Desirable skills include:

- Experience with key social media API`s (specifically Facebook Connect)

- Previous development experience working on a CMS product or community platform

- Experience with ASP-net MVC
