We are a key service provider to the automotive industry and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Applications Development Manager to join our friendly team.

The main aim of the Applications Development Manager is to ensure that all client facing IT applications and systems run effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance and enhancement of client facing IT applications as well as collaborating the specification and developing new client applications.

The successful candidate will need the potential to develop and implement processes and systems to increase the effectiveness of the IT function.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring service levels are achieved and that customer expectations are met.
- Responsible for creating and implementing processes and systems to drive the effectiveness of the team whilst giving consideration to budgetary requirements.
- To deliver consultancy (pre-sale and post-sale) on our IT solutions
- To build relationships with project leaders and Business Development team to aid with the sales cycle and support customer retention.
- Be responsible for product testing
- To deal with internal support and business continuity tasks as directed by other managers or directors to meet the business needs

Essential knowledge and expertise:
- MS SQL
- SQL Server
- Windows Server (2003 or 2008; both an advantage)
- MS ASP.NET,
- C#
- Javascript
- HTML
- Development experience and the ability to provide expertise in managing third party developers.
- Exceptional customer service skills, communication skills and project management capabilities

Experience working within or managing a technical services/solution delivery team would be an advantage. As well as the relevant skills and experience someone flexible with a passion for delivering results would be the ideal candidates.
