Getting a tattoo is something that has become more and more popular over the years. As the number of people that get tattoos increases so do the number of people looking into methods of removing tattoos. There are several different methods and each method has its pros and cons which is what we're going to discuss in this article.
There are a lot of fading creams on the market today which claim to be able to fade the ink until eventually the tattoo is no longer visible. There are a number of problems with these fading creams however with the main problem being that many times they simply do not work. They may fade the tattoo somewhat but may never be able to completely remove it. The creams also use harsh chemicals which can irritate the skin and cause rashes and even possibly change the pigmentation of your skin permanently.
Another common method for removing tattoos is dermabrasion. With this method an abrasive is used to scrub away the top few layers of skin and hopefully the tattoo as well. This method is not always 100% effective and works best on superficial tattoos that are close to the surface of the skin. Dermabrasion is a very painful technique and there is also the danger of scarring and infections.
The best method available today for removing tattoos is to visit a doctor for laser treatments. Laser treatments are available in salons and spas in some areas but it is best to have this treatment performed by a properly trained medical staff under the supervision of a doctor. With this type of treatment a high-powered laser is used to break up the ink into millions of tiny particles which are then absorbed by the body. It is the most effective method available today for completely removing tattoos and does not have the same risk of side effects that some other methods have.
Laser treatments may be your best option but they can be pretty expensive. It can cost over $1000 to have a tattoo removed. Although it may only take half an hour to get the tattoo put on, removing it is a much longer process. It can take multiple visits over the course of several weeks to remove a tattoo completely. Body art is intended to be permanent and although it is possible for it to be removed it is an expensive and painful procedure so think carefully before you get your ink
