Do Tattoos Hurt?

This is the most common question regarding tattooing. Yes it does. When your skin is being pierced by needles it hurts. The question you really want to know the answer to is how much it hurts. It doesn't hurt much, everyone can handle it. The pain occurs when the tattooing machine pierces your skin very rapidly. Tattooing hurts much more less than having an injection. Your body releases endorphins that make tattooing very painless.

Pain also differs from the part of your body that is being tattooed. Tattooing the skin right near the bones is more painful than tattooing other parts of your body. Also it differs from the needles being used in the tattooing process. Some needles hurt more than others. Outlining needles makes the pain more noticeable. Shading needles are almost painless. Pain will also differ from psychological factors. Stress can cause the pain to be stronger, but when you are relief you won't feel much pain.

It's very important not to drink alcoholic drinks or take illegal drugs when performing tattooing. Doing this will cause more bleeding and the healing of the wounds will be much slower. Tattoo artists also tend not to deal with drunk people.

Should you use anesthetics?

Some people say that taking Tylenol before tattooing reliefs the pain. You should never use aspirin, ibuprofen and similar drugs because they promote bleeding.

Should you get a tattoo?

There is no right answer. A survey has shown that a third of people who have tattoos regret them, but if you are really confident about your decision then go for it.
Why Do I Want a tattoo?

There are different reasons to get a tattoo. Some do it to please their partners. Some want to belong in the group of people who have tattoos. Some represent a certain sub-culture that is known for tattoos. Some just want to show their uniqueness or individuality.

There are millions of reasons why people get tattoos, but you should first consider some factors before tattooing. Imagine what you will be after 20 years. Maybe you will be a serious businessman and you will have to hide your tattooed arms from everyone. Or maybe you won't be in love with the person you in love now. Having a tattoo that reminds you about bad relationships is very painful (it hurts more than the needles.) Think about it.

Can I Remove My Tattoo Later?

It's very hard and expensive to remove a tattoo. It will cost you 10 times more than getting a tattoo if you will decide to use the laser surgery and leave a ugly scar if you choose other methods to remove your tattoo.

Is There Temporary alternative to tattooing?

Yes there is. I recommend Temptu as the best option. They are using a cosmetic that is printed on a cigarette-like paper. Special cosmetic inks are later used to get the 'tattoo' on your skin. The results are almost just as good as having a genuine tattoo. It's waterproof and it lasts up to 2 weeks.

Tattooing is a great way to show your true identity and to make you more attractive, but sometimes people make mistakes. That's way you should seriously consider all the positive and negative sides of this art form before getting a tattoo.
