Chest tattoos are mostly found on males, but females are really closing the gap. Guys and gals are starting to love the idea of getting inked in this nontraditional place, but you absolutely need to make sure about the designs you're thinking about getting inked with. Here's are a few very important tips when picking chest tattoos, where you're a guy or a gal.

Placement is going to play a very very major role in how the design ultimately looks on your body. You should always ask your artist to see the outline in various positions and various sizes. If you aren't sure how it will look, ask the artist, because they should know in a heart beat how it will look. If they don't know, walk out the door and find someone better. You do not want to get chest tattoos only to realize that it's off center, or the design is a little too big/small for your tastes. Males and females alike should be 100% happy with the artwork that results from getting inked.

Next, you need to be aware of shading and color issues that will arise. If you picked a pretty detailed piece, you need to know how the shading and colors will look once made into a real tattoo. Well over 90% of the designs out there will look very different on your body than what you're seeing on paper. You should ask your artist about the subtle differences that will occur and what they can do about it. You should always be completely sure about this, because males and females should not get chest tattoos only to realize that the design looks nothing like (and not in a good way) what it looked like on paper. You don't want to be stuck with a tattoo that you don't like.

These are two very subtle tips to take into account when looking for chest tattoos for males and females.
