The Ugly Tattoos - 50% Fall Out Of Favor, Here Is What To Do

The ugly tattoo includes the undesirable tattoo. There are even web pages devoted to the notion of the ugliest tattoo. What is the ugliest tattoo? It is your unwanted tattoo.

Almost every tattoo comes with an accompanying story and emotional significance. Whenever the tattoo falls out of favor, there is emotional stress in many cases and a strong drive to get rid of that tattoo. This can lead the tattoo bearer into spending a lot of time and money.

Many tattoo removal techniques are painful. This factor alone keeps many individuals from doing something about that unwanted tattoo. A tattoo bearer has several choices when it comes to removing a tattoo.

1. If you are in a hurry, the simplest way to get rid of a tattoo is a temporary cosmetic cover-up. You find a cream the color of the surrounding skin and paint over the tattoo. This is a temporary solution but may be just the answer if you want to hide and not get rid of the tattoo.

2. Surgical skin removal is rather drastic and has fallen out of favor.

3. Chemical peels remove the top layers of skin and eventually the ink can be scraped away.

4. Laser surgery uses laser light that selects and vaporizes the tattoo ink. The immune system carries away the residual ink debris. Laser tattoo removal is expensive.

5. Ablative creams work in several different ways. The most common method is to use a painful acid peel and a dye to stain and hide the ink. If a product lists trichloracetic acid (TCA) as an ingredient along with hydroquinone, it is a peel and stain technique for tattoo removal. This technique often cannot stain away the darker dyes. Also, peel and stains may not be able to reach the ink in the deepest portion of the dermis or inner skin layer.

6. Tattoo ink-altering creams. The secret to permanent tattoo removal is to get rid of the ink. The laser technique removes the ink by altering the ink's structure. There are creams that can remove tattoos by altering the ink in a different but equally effective way. These creams are applied to the skin and work their way to the ink. There the ingredients contained in the cream interact with the ink. This causes the ink to break down in a slow painless process that removes even the darker, deeper and oldest inks. Once the ink is in this altered state, the immune system is able to remove the residual ink by-products.
