Tattoo Removal - Procedures and Techniques

If you were one of the many people that fell into the tattoo craze and got a tattoo that you now want removed there are a number of ways to make this possible. The laser procedure is the most common method to remove tattoos. Lasers will target the ink with highly concentrated light that breaks down the ink into tiny fragments. These tiny fragments are then cleared away by your own immune system by being absorbed back into your body. Using the laser method, however, can not be done in just one sitting. You will need to have several treatments to totally remove the tattoo.

Another tattoo removal procedure is the IPL. Intense Pulse Light therapy is used almost the same as the laser except a gel is applied to the skin and a wand is used that sends light impulses to the tattoo.

Both of these removal procedures can be costly, but if you are serious about removing your tattoo for whatever reason you have, it will be worth it in the end. If you think laser methods are too expensive and painful for you, there is a product called Doc Wilson's Wrecking Balm that can be purchased in you local drugstore. This product claims to breakdown the ink injected skin cells and your own skin cells will regenerate themselves with healthy new ink free skin cells. This is a three-step process that is FDA approved. Wrecking Balm safely works and expedites the process of removal. This method is easier on your pocketbook, less painful and results appear in 4 to 6 weeks.

The decision is yours and what works best for you. A permanent tattoo no longer has to be permanent. Do your homework and have your skin looking as it did before you got your tattoo, it's your body.
