Sisterhood in Ink

Sisterhood is a bond between female friends or blood sisters; this may apply to mutual friendship or sororities that abound. Celebrating this special bond can mean much about anything such as a gathering on special dates, doing something together; but more likely, best friends or a sorority group would prefer having a common piece that each member should have to be a remembrance of the mutual and lasting relationship. Having a locket of an identical kind for each member of the group is just one of the many common ideas aside from rings, scrapbooks and novelty material. A better and unique way of celebrating sisterhood and the lasting bond in the years after can be manifested through skin art.
Celebrating the unique and special friendship among ladies should not be limited to novelties such as items mentioned earlier. It can be made more distinctive through tattoo art. Sister tattoo designs can range from the typical to the profound but it boils down to a common association among friends. It may be in a form of likening a certain affair to a symbol of significance; a common habit among the group that is best materialized through artwork fitting to be donned on each other's skin; having an exchange of portraits which can be adorned with border designs or styles; or a thing of tribute that captures and defines the relationship.
Sister Tattoo designs are best conveyed when first: all collaborate in designing the art. Coming up with the design would take from immediate to quite some time. Deciding the outcome is another since the group should consider factors such as how it can relate with their individual identities as well. In the end, tattoo designs should not compromise both factors (as an individual and their belongingness in a group or bond). The size and boldness of the design should not be too flamboyant. The objective of wearing the design does not weigh much on the aesthetic or visual issue of the art but of a definition that goes way beyond that.
Second, the skin part where the design will be laid should be on one that is not too conspicuous or could compromise the aesthetic design in the long run. The objective in positioning the tattoo is not to distract anyone or grab attention at more times when it should not. It is best to position the design on an upper part of the back, or a body part that when normally dressed, will require rolling up of clothing, if not a bit.
Sister Tattoo designs are one of a kind as this requires a real long commitment of having a permanent art on one's body. Having decided to get one for the group would fathom the bond and sturdiness of the friendship. What more unique way of celebrating a lasting relationship among friends but through art; skin art in that sense.
