I wanted a tattoo about three years ago, I wasn't sure what I wanted but I knew I wanted one. I plucked up the courage as it was my first tattoo to go to the studio I looked through a few books, picked a design of an eagle and got inked. Simple huh.
In hindsight when I think about it and see all of the tattoo designs available did I have enough choice to make my informed decision? Did I get the tattoo I really wanted or the best of what I was shown on the day, and if I could would I get the same tattoo done again?
Nowadays there is so much more choice readily available to you. There are more tattoo magazines being published now than there ever was. You could buy an endless number of books that cover all different categories like tribal, floral or symbols etc.
One resource I wish I had found out about at the time is tattoo websites. Here you can look at so many different tattoo designs the choice is almost endless. I found one particular website that had nearly 15,000 different tattoos, all separated into handy categories so I could search through and find a design I liked easily. The best part of it was I could print it off to take to my local tattoo studio to get it done.
By the time you read this I will have got my second tattoo and probably found a possible third because I am so spoilt for choice I can't make my mind up I only wish I had bigger arms.
